Join the worldwide celebration of Malbec with one of the highest rated Malbecs, plus a blend of Malbec & Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the smallest wineries in Argentina.
Thursday, April 17
7-9 pm with brief talk at 7:30 pm
Across the world on April 17, people will be celebrating Argentina’s signature wine Malbec. We were there last year during harvest and Malbec World Day, now we bring the experience to you. We will have traditional empanadas to pair with a Malbec and Malbec – Cabernet Sauvignon blend. You’ll learn the story behind the people who make these incredible wines from garage size wineries of Malbec de Angeles and Bodega La Azul.

About Malbec de Angeles
Established in 1924, the vineyard is preserved traditionally to show the expression of the grapes with little influence from oak or the winemaker. The 2008 vintage was named Top 10 Malbec by Decanter Magazine and Stephen Tanzer gave the 2010 vintage 89 points. Learn more about Malbec de Angeles
About Bodega La Azul
Located at the base of the Andes, Bodega La Azul is one of the smallest wineries in Mendoza. The 2010 Reserva is a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Learn more about Bodega La Azul
